SISEM, the UK's leading designer and manufacturer of microgen power diverters and Viridian Solar, manufacturer of the award winning Pod-PV solar heat store, have announced a perfect partnership.
The new agreement will see the two cleantech companies working closely together to develop the market for a revolutionary new approach to energy-efficient domestic heating.
Alongside sharing R&D insight, customer feedback and product innovation to develop a next-generation of affordable heating devices, the arrangement will see both companies promote the installation of SISEM’s market-leading renewable energy diversion system – the immerSUN – alongside Viridian Solar’s Pod PV.
Pairing the immerSUN with Pod PV enables owners of solar PV systems with combi-boilers to benefit from their surplus PV energy. A significant reduction in hot water bills for the typical household is achieved while making sure that 100% of self-generated renewable energy is used on site rather than exported to the grid.
By integrating the use of both products, consumers will be able to significantly reduce reliance on fossil fuel for hot water requirements, saving on energy bills and significantly lowering their household carbon footprint.
“As the market leader in certified microgen diversion technologies, we’re committed to helping consumers get the most from their investment in renewable technology, as well as making the greatest possible energy and cost savings in the home,” commented Jodi Huggett, Innovation Director at SISEM. “We’re dedicated to pushing the boundaries of capability and leading the way in highly-efficient renewable gadgets, which is why we made the decision to enter a strategic partnership with Viridian Solar. This exciting venture will allow us to not only share expertise and innovation from ongoing R&D investment to collaboratively deliver new and exciting renewable energy solutions for consumers nationwide, but also ensure homeowners can become more resource-efficient in their homes.”
Stuart Elmes, CEO of Viridian Solar says “We look forward to working alongside SISEM to develop the market for solar PV water heating in homes with combi-boilers. We have been impressed with their approach to developing high quality and compliant products and feel this makes our two companies an excellent fit.”
